Ski resorts are a mixed bag of tricks. They frame and penetrate the most pristine landscapes in the world and let us play in them from many angles, but their carbon footprint, wildlife habitat infringement, land use consequences and myriad waste management issues can make a treehugging skier think twice about where to go.
There is an organization that can help us make choices about where we ski and suggest to the places we like how they can do it better.
